Basic Development Engineer - Noise & Vibration

Within the areas of noise & vibration and mechanics you will find a challenging job close to our products and applications with great possibilities to make a difference. You will be part of the R&D Department and work with product development of our drill rigs, a work that will include every phase from idea to a final product.

You will have an important role within the mechanical design group where your operational work will be concept development and realisation, analysis and calculations regarding sound & vibration, from vibration technical specification of electric items to sound emission estimations, as well as strength. This position is also to be the responsible person for the area noise and vibration within the global development organization. A working knowledge of the applicable standards and regulations worldwide is desirable. Another important part of the role is focused on the technology intelligence and scouting as well as management of basic development projects.

To be successful in this position we believe that you need a few years of experience within mechanical design including analytical ability and knowledge of noise & vibration and strength analysis etc. Knowledge from products for mobile applications in demanding environments is meriting. You should have a documented academic background like a PhD or extensive experience from research and project management within a relevant area like noise and vibration, resistance of materials, product development or similar.

You should be a skilled engineer that has knowledge in noise & vibration issues, mechanics as well as measurements, FE-analyses and SEA (Statistical Energy Analysis) modelling. Furthermore, you are skilled in writing clear and objective reports. Knowledge in 3D-modelling and project management is a merit. You will need good knowledge of English, as it is our corporate language.
