Information about the division
The Chalmers Mass Spectrometry Infrastructure (CMSI) is a new Chalmers infrastructure with the goal to deliver high quality analytical services to researchers at Chalmers and beyond. The infrastructure will mainly focus on quantitative mass spectrometry and compound identification, and has a range of mass spectrometers for these tasks. The infrastructure aims to deliver both high quality service analyses and develop novel analytical methods to meet the needs of researchers.

Job description
As an engineer/technician within the CMSI, you will have primary responsibility for analysing samples and ensuring that instruments are well maintained. You will also be responsible for method development and learn to use a wide range of different mass spectrometers. In this position you will work as part of a small team of engineers/technicians and will report to the CMSI lab manager and the scientific coordinator of the CMSI. 

Qualifications
You should have a technical training and experience in mass spectrometric analysis of biological samples, and it is an advantage to have worked with routine analyses and method development. You should be comfortable in speaking and writing in English, good communication skills in Swedish are an advantage.
