The arena
Sweden Operations is one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in the world. The site supplies to 100 different countries and counts for ~35% of the total volume of AstraZeneca's sales, corresponding to $10B in sales revenues. The site has ~3000 employees. The site is also the primary launch site within the AstraZeneca network and many of the products in AstraZeneca's exciting pipeline will be launched from Sweden Operations over the next 3 years.

You will be part of a Master Data Team which supports Sweden Operations factories with subject matter expertise in Master Data in SAP ECC. The role holder works in close collaboration with other Master Data Experts and the business to secure E2E thinking through the whole Supply Chain.

The role
The Master Data Expert (MDE) will act as a subject matter expert for Master Data focusing on Sweden Operations SAP ECC (EUSAP) system. Other systems that share Master Data with SAP ECC is also to some extent within scope e.g. PAS-X, MDM and SAP SCM, but this is primarily the integration and sharing of Master Data that is in focus. The MDE have good business knowledge of EUSAP processes, system functionality, and ways of working in different functions, and can combine this with their MD expertise to identify opportunities and solve problems and support the wider business. The MDE will provide Master Data support primarily to Sweden Operations at large, and in specific cases also to other global functions and/or AZ sites.
There are 3 key aspects to the role of a MDE:
1) Master Data-, System- and -Information Management
2) Developing partnerships and collaborating across the organization
3) Process and WoW in the business.

The MDE will bring all these features together to create powerful solutions that measure and improve data quality, data integrity and process performance.

Also, the MDE requires a good understanding of relevant SAP ECC system, can extract and process data efficiently, and can use the right techniques and algorithms to derive business insights that promote data driven insights and promotes Master Data quality.

The MDE works without direct supervision and with a large degree on independence. Ability to work collaboratively with a wide network across the international business, and be part of a team to deliver powerful results in-line with business objectives. Provide specialist guidance and advice on areas of expertise through influence and business relationship management.
