Our Engineering department is creating a strong foundation of skills for new technologies and innovations. We have a committed passion to create and deliver iconic and desirable global products suitable for volume production. We are now looking for a Metallic Materials Expert!

 

Description

The Material Department, that you will be part of, is incorporated in a bigger unit inside the Technical Development Organization. You will be part of a team of material engineers, and will work close with the Engineering Department, but also with After Sales and Production Department. As a Material Expert you work with materials in our products and support our plants in the build process with focus on sustainability.

 

The role as Materials Expert involves:

- Be the expert in its expertise area (Metallic Materials) in the Materials Engineering Team.
- Build our material library with sheet metal qualities and castings materials
- Build, own and manage updates and technical progress in materials area as a support to designers
- Support design, quality, production and after sales team with materials engineering competence.
- Quality assure materials solution by selection, calculate, test and set appropriate requirements
- Solve materials technical problems that arise in testing, production, at the customer
- Anchor decisions, development and status with the responsible line management

 

We are looking for someone who has:

- Expert competence within metallic materials used in Automotive Business, minimum 5 years
- Master of Science Material Engineer Metallic Materials
- Good skills in MS office
- Driver license B
- Excellent English and Swedish, both spoken and written.

 

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

- High competence about automotive material elements
- Communicative and well organized person
- Be easy to work with for both internal and external "partners"
- Be a team player with ability to plan and prioritize
- Customer oriented, orderly and extremely accurate
