The Packaging Engineer role is a part of Packaging Management function within Regional Logistics Optimization in EMEA.

Position description
As Packaging Engineer, you will join a team of 10 people and report to the manager for Packaging Engineering EMEA CVA. You will define, approve, implement and optimize parts packaging solutions from supplier up to Packaging use point according to VPS principle and get the packaging contract applied. Furthermore, you will take lead/drive meetings with packaging users to sort out issues and questions with a successful outcome.

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for packaging instructions for EMEA CVA plants
- Define the best Packaging Instruction
- Strive for common EMEA CVA solutions
- Get the packaging Instruction applied
- Single contact within EMEA CVA for questions related to Packaging
- Support purchasing department for negotiation connected to packaging with suppliers

Background and Key competencies:
- University degree and/or education in relevant field or experience to equivalent level
- Experience from support functions, supplier relations and packaging environment is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken) are required
- Accurate in administrative work and comfortable in multitasking
- Good at building relationships and networking skills
- Service minded, flexible and enjoys teamwork
- Analytical skills
- Takes initiatives and have ability and drive to work independently
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new systems
- Professional team player with networking abilities both internally and externally
- Knowledge in SAP is an advantage
- The location of this position will be in Gothenburg.
