Product Owner, High Pressure PE

We are now looking for a Product Owner, High Pressure Polyethelene (HPPE) for the application area Energy/Wire & Cable.

Role Purpose

As part of the HPPE Product Management team you are technically responsible for certain commercial products in our portfolio. You will as Product Owner serve our customers by driving continuous improvement in product availability, quality, performance and cost. You will through networking with the production sites, the commercial organisation and others ensure that our commercial products meet customer?s needs and expectations.

Contribution
- You are as Product Owner responsible for that your products are fulfilling customers´ needs and can be produced within established specifications.
- You are owner of Internal Product Specifications (IPS) and/or External Product Specifications (EPS). You support creation of customer related product and delivery agreements, initiate Safety Data sheets, perform product quality reviews and act representative in Customer Support Teams.
- You give technical support to customers, Technical Service, Marketing, asset or manufacturing organisation, and other functions, and input to innovation projects, e.g. in topics related to problem solving, quality improvements, application development and cost saving solutions etc.
- You are responsible for technical testing and approving raw materials for your products in order to secure the supply through raw material owners, lead buyers and buying teams
- You are responsible for initiating corrective actions if quality and consistency of products, technical data or specifications are not fulfilling the demands as well as leading relevant product quality/consistency improvement projects.
- You support classification and product placement in the market in co-operation with Operations and Sales.
- You are responsible, with support from Product Stewardship, that regulations such as REACH are being followed.
- You suggest short & long term sourcing and packaging options and approve new production lines and sub-contractors.
- You support claim investigations in order to define corrective actions and settle claims technically.
- You contribute to overall HSE&Q performance keeping high HSE&Q standards in the relevant work environment.

Knowledge and skills
- MSc degree in Chemistry or Material Science, preferably with 2-5 years? work experience
- Excellent problem solving ability
- Good cooperation skills, presenting own ideas, taking initiatives and interacting with stakeholders
- Project management skills, and good ability to work in multi-cultural and cross-functional team
- Understand customers? needs and translate it into technical and product requirements
- Good documentation, presentation and reporting skills
- Fluency in English
- Good IT skills

As a person you are highly achievement and result orientated, flexible and comfortable taking and driving own initiatives. You need to have the ability to think in an analytical and conceptual way and also have concern for order and quality. You will work in an international team where you will be the expert in your area.

Other information
Preferred location is Stenungsund, Sweden, but other Borealis locations can also be considered.
