Job Description

PacketFront Software bring the OSS and BSS applications BECS and BBE to new markets. To reinforce our growth we are now hiring a Professional Service Engineer to strengthen the team.

Professional Services Engineering is a key role in the company to realize the value of our commitments to customers and to PacketFront Software. Professional Services Engineering supports our business by their ability to deeply understand what is to be delivered to customers and what is the best way of doing so. Project management skills are essential to ensure successful delivery project execution, management of expectations, internal and customer resourcing and scope changes, to mention just a few critical aspects of the job. Professional Services Engineers work in close cooperation with our Sales and Sales Engineering team.

The role is based in the company offices in Stockholm, Sweden. Travelling to customer sites for project deliveries is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivery of customer projects, including deployment of our software system on IT infrastructure provided by the customer, customization of standard products to specific customer needs, planning and performing necessary system integrations with other OSS and BSS systems in the customer environment and project management of customer delivery projects.
• Manage own relations with customer organization, as well as with partners
• Independent management and execution of customer delivery projects
• Execute customer lab and field tests, as well as customer pilots


Your Profile

We require that you have an edge and outstanding knowledge within one or several of the following areas:

• Solution design
• Broadband/datacom topologies, technologies (e.g., Ethernet, PON, xDSL) and products
• Programming and scripting (Shell, TCL, Perl etc)
• Structured work methodology and application of solid project management practices
• Experience within the following areas is desired:
• OSS/BSS systems in the telecom/datacom industry, particularly service provisioning and management
• Application of systems integration frameworks and tools
• Database knowledge
• Project management

Personal skills:

• Quick learner with a structured approach and analytical skills
• Strong communicator with ability to enthuse customers and partners you interact with
• Commercial acumen
• “Can do” personality, but also a finisher delivering to commitments made
• Team player

You are already a resident in Sweden, however Swedish is not a requirement. You are fluent in English, both spoken and in writing. We work for gender balance and therefore encourage female applicants for this service.
