Project Engineer - Brake systems

Position description:

We are looking for a Project Engineer, Brake systems within Chassis who will be involved in all phases of vehicle development projects.



- Support purchasing and supplier quality in supplier assessments/reviews.
- Be responsible for technical requirements and specifications, for related parts.
- Be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures for Rotor, Caliper, Pads and handbrake parts.
- Support the chassis engineering and development organization with theoretical and practical knowledge on Brakes.
- Be responsible for component performance through the complete product development lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain internal and external networks on related parts and systems with integration expertise.
- Evaluate the feasibility of new proposals and products
- Lead and plan all design activities to meet target dates.
- Identify opportunities and/or implement changes to improve products, processes or reduce cost.
- Identify root-causes of identified issues during verification/validation and develop countermeasures as needed.

Skills and required experience:

- Relevant experience in the work area, preferably in the automotive, minimum 3-5 years
- University engineering education within relevant area or equivalent experience
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of vehicle development processes, both in a Conventional- and an Electrical Vehicle context
- A thorough understanding of powertrain integration.
- Experience from cross functional work teams
- The ability to speak and write in English
- Driver license B
