Project Manager

As Project Manager you will work cross functionally within the company and your mission is to drive our large product development projects from idea to a complete product. The projects can be both local projects in Örebro and global projects with project members from Atlas Copco sites around the world. As Project Manager, you are the project's main person and it is your performance that determines whether the project will be successful or not. You will have the main responsibility for the total projects including all phases. You will be involved in defining project scope and content as well as responsible for forming a well operating project team, with sub project managers from relevant departments. This also entails establishing and fulfilling a project time plan and a project budget. The position is based in the R&D department at the Atlas Copco Surface & Exploration Drilling Division in Örebro.

Background
To be successful in this role you should have a solid experience (approx. 5 years) in project management of projects with lead time up to 2 years and with similar complexity as our products, preferably in an international environment. Furthermore you should have a documented academic background (M.Sc.) in engineering within relevant area or other highly qualified engineering background. Very good knowledge of English is required as it is our corporate language.

As the main project leader who has to get your entire project team to consistently deliver the very best they can, you need to have high social competence, to be clear and firm with good communication skills and a strong driving force. You should be able to work under pressure, enjoy taking full responsibility and have both the willingness and capability to consistently deliver the right quality with good delivery precision.

The size of the PC allows for a solid crossfunctional dialogue where all stakeholders are accessible, making dialogue around details fast and pragmatic. Being a small unit also fosters a familiar atmosphere where all employees, from management to the assemblers, hold the end result and the customer satisfaction first.
