Research Engineer

Role Summary/Purpose:

We are looking for a Research Engineer (temporary position) to the Surface Design section. The mission of Surface Design is to support the department with expertise and technologies regarding ligand and surface modification chemistries and development, as well as analytical methods relevant to ligands and surface chemistries.

Essential Responsibilities:

Organic synthesis and characterization. This includes planning, performing, analyzing and reporting studies, within the area of surface modifications of chromatography media. Reporting includes technical reports and presentation at internal meetings.

The work is performed within the scope of different projects, which can be both research and/or development driven. The position described here is strongly weighted to synthesis work in lab scale and hence the person suited for this opening should enjoy working in a chemistry lab.

Qualifications/Requirements:

MSc or BSc within organic/polymeric chemistry or similar
Experienced in laboratory work in the area of organic/ligand synthesis
English as a working language
Excellent computer skills and ability to work in both general and internal systems
Good interpersonal skills
A flexible, accurate and structured way of working
EU work permit

This is a temporary assignment during 2015-08-01 - 2016-02-28.
